Update on Government Contract Awards and Opportunities

TORONTO, Sept. 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Unisync Corp. (TSX: "UNI") (“Unisync") is pleased to announce that Public Works and Government Services Canada (“PWGSC”) has recently awarded two additional contracts totaling approximately $3.5 million to its subsidiary, Peerless Garments LP (“Peerless”). The contracts involve the production of advanced search and rescue uniforms and static dissipative rain suits for the Royal Canadian Navy. The firm portion of these contracts amounts to $2.0 million with the option portion exercisable over the next three years.

PWGSC has also issued a formal request for proposals for a managed program involving the transfer and ongoing management of all of the existing operational clothing, footwear and related accessories for the Canadian Department of National Defense (“DND”) estimated at $1.2 billion over the potential twenty year term of the contract (the “OCFC2” contract). Each OCFC2 item will require a certain percentage of Canadian Content following the Rules of Origin for Apparel, Modified Rules of Origin for Textiles and NAFTA rules.

Peerless has been the leading prime contractor for the manufacture and provision of operational clothing and accessories to the DND for over 40 years.
