Pioneering Establishes New Business Channel

  • Successful results from the first installation of over 3,000 Safe-T-elements with one of North America's largest private sector Landlords.
  • Return on Investment driving awareness/growth in this new channel.

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - April 23, 2015) - Pioneering Technology Corp. (TSXV: PTE) (OTC: PTEFF), ("Pioneering"), an "Energy Smart" product innovation/consumer goods company and North America's leader in cooking fire prevention technologies, announced today the successful completion of its first large project with a major private sector property owner and rental provider. This undisclosed Landlord (an Investment Trust), with interests in over 40,000 residential units, is now planning to expand its installation program.

This is the first major private sector rental-housing provider to adopt Pioneering's Safe-T-element (STE) with its patented temperature limiting control (TLC) technology to better protect its tenants & properties and reduce electricity costs. This first project consisted of the installation of 3,153 STE's in the Landlords highest risk properties in Southern Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada. Since installing the STEs, the Landlord has reported zero cooking fires and a meaningful benefit in energy related savings. One of Canada's largest electricity distribution companies provided an additional financial incentive based on the STE's energy saving benefits.

Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan said, "We have had great success preventing cooking fires and reducing electricity costs in the affordable and government subsidized multi-residential housing markets. This is the first major installation with one of North America's largest private sector multi-residential landlords that serves the general rental market. This is a significant new channel for Pioneering and is now resulting in other large private sector opportunities in both Canada and the U.S."

Stovetop cooking is the number one cause of household fire in North America (44% of all household fires) and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal reports that cooking fires in multi-residential residences are more than double the provincial average. The STE is a patented, temperature limiting control (TLC) technology engineered to help prevent stove top cooking fires and reduce energy consumption. It is installed in over 100,000 multi-residential housing units across North America without a single cooking fire being reported and delivering a return on investment.
