KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2005) - Cassidy Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CDY) is pleased to announce results of ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100% owned Kouroussa Property in Guinea, West Africa. Results have been received from a 1400 metre long fence of RC holes across the north end of the Koekoe soil geochemical anomaly. In addition, results from the third of three fences of holes across the Sodyanfe geochemical anomaly have been received. All RC holes were drilled using a "kit bit" to the base of the saprolite horizon, typically 30-40 metres deep, in a "head to toe" arrangement. Results provide a very precise geochemical signature that clearly identifies mineralized zones within the broad soil geochemical anomalies.

Koekoe North Area

A fence of holes was drilled to the northeast across the northern portion of the large Koekoe soil geochemical anomaly that covers the Sanu Filanan, JJ, and KD-1 Zones. The fence highlights 3 distinct trends of highly anomalous results. The western trend consists of a series of holes with several 1+ g/t Au intersections over 1 to 3 metres, highlighted by 1.03 g/t Au over 2.0m and 2.29 g/t Au over 2.0m both in KRC450, and 1.61 g/t Au over 3.0m near the top of KRC451. A second weaker mineralized zone within the western trend shows up in the bottom of KRC461 (1.02 g/t Au over 1.0m and the top of KRC462 (0.70 g/t Au and 0.71 g/t Au over 1.0m respectively).

A middle mineralized trend is highlighted in KRC472 where a 6.0m interval averages 1.21 g/t Au. The third and strongest trend is highlighted in holes KRC500 - KRC 513. KRC500 intersected a 6.0 metre mineralized interval assaying 1.77 g/t Au between 29.0 - 35.0 metres downhole, and KRC502 intersected 5.12 g/t Au over 3.0m. Mineralization comes closer to surface in adjacent holes to the northeast, reaching the surface in the Koekoe River drainage in KRC503 - KRC513 (see Table 1).

The three broad mineralized trends defined in the Koekoe North fence present excellent targets for further drill testing. The Koekoe River Zone, in particular, may be the source of alluvial gold periodically worked by artisanal miners several hundred metres further downstream.

Sodyanfe Zone

A third fence of holes sits parallel to and 200 metres southeast of a second fence and stretches 900 metres in a southwest to northeast orientation across the southern portion of a broad soil geochemical anomaly. Three distinct northwest-trending zones of anomalous gold mineralization encountered in the first two fences are reflected much more weakly in the third. Several 1.0 metre intervals of greater than 0.5 g/t Au occur in KRC529 - KRC534, KRC536 - KRC537, and KRC539. Due to the possibility that some gold has been leached from the upper portions of the saprolite over the southeast portion of the Sodyanfe Zone, follow-up drilling will test the zone at and below the transition zone.

Current Exploration

RC drilling has now moved from assessment phase to resource definition phase. Definition drilling has begun on the JJ and KD-1 Zones (see June 6, 2005 News Release). Approximately 2500 metres remain to be drilled on the JJ Zone and 2600 metres on KD-1 Zone. To date, a total of 26,653 metres of RC drilling, mainly with a kit bit, has been completed in 638 holes.

Diamond drilling has just completed testing several specific targets in the Sanu Filanan, Sanu Folo, JJ, and KD-1 Zones as part of a study of the structural geology of the deposit areas. Drill hole locations were chosen to highlight structure and fill gaps in the deposit modelling. A total of 13 diamond drill holes were completed and results will be released as they become available.

Sampling and Assay Procedures

RC samples were collected from the cyclone and split or pipe sampled to 1 kilogram size. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest in Bamako, Mali for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 g/t Au and some samples assaying over 4 g/t Au. Several high values were checked by taking a second split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS and gravimetric finishes.
