Comic Stripped features some of Canada's brightest comedic talent on

TORONTO, Feb. 12 /CNW/ - XM Canada (TSX: XSR), the country's premier provider of satellite radio, has launched Comic Stripped - a new show on the world's first uncensored Canadian comedy channel, Laugh Attack, hosting many of Canada's up-and-coming comic geniuses. Comic Stripped showcases the freshest and brightest comedic talent talking about the one experience they all have in common - being Canadian.
With some of the best new comedians appearing on the show, Comic Stripped was developed to give Canadian comics a forum to discuss, talk, rant and chat about the shared Canadian experience including everything from hockey hair to the country's love of beer to the metric system.
"It's great to play individual cuts from talented Canadian comics," said Mark Breslin, Laugh Attack consultant and founder of Yuk Yuk's comedy clubs. "But nothing can promote an artist's career like a dedicated half-hour of interview peppered with excerpts of their best work. This show will really get rightful recognition for Canadian comics from the industry and the public alike."
Comic Stripped, which also airs south of the border, gives up-and-comers exposure to new audiences and aims to wipe out the false stereotypes Americans may have towards Canada, if only one centimetre at a time.

Comic Stripped airs live every Friday at 8 a.m. EST on Laugh Attack (XM153) with encore presentations every Saturday at 3 a.m./p.m. EST, Monday at 10 a.m./p.m. EST and Wednesday at 5 a.m./p.m. EST.
