MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 7, 2008) - Quest Uranium Corporation (TSX VENTURE:QUC) announces that Peter Cashin has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, replacing Mackenzie I. Watson. Mr. Watson has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Watson served as President of Quest Uranium since its incorporation in June 2007 and oversaw the launching of Quest Uranium as a public company. Mr. Watson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Freewest Resources Canada Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FWR). Mr. Cashin has been a director of Quest Uranium since September 2007.
Peter Cashin is an exploration geologist with more than 25 years of experience in all facets of the mines and minerals industry. Mr. Cashin obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1979 and a Masters of Science degree from McGill University in 1985. From 1979 to 1989, Mr. Cashin worked for a number of mining and mining exploration companies, such as Gulf Minerals Canada Ltd., Getty Mining Co., Campbell Resources Inc., St-Joe Canada, Muscocho Exploration Ltd. and Chevron Minerals Ltd. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Cashin was with Inco Limited. From 1998 to 2005, he was also involved in resource investment attraction and marketing with the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines. Mr. Cashin was recently the Manager of Investor and Corporate Affairs for Alexis Minerals Corporation, a mining exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Quest Uranium also announces that the Board of Directors has appointed Michael Pesner, Daniel Larkin and Peter Cashin as the members of the Audit Committee of the Board. Mr. Pesner will serve as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
