TORONTO, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. ("CSR") (TSX: XSR), through its XM Canada satellite radio service, announced today it has achieved 306,000 subscribers as of the end of its fourth quarter ended August 31, 2007. The number of subscribers has more than doubled since CSR's 2006 fiscal year, in part due to the significant subscriber growth achieved during the fourth quarter.

"Our dedication to provide amazing programming and secure a great roster of sports coverage, including our exclusive satellite radio broadcast partnership with the NHL, is clearly demonstrated by our rapidly growing subscriber base," said John Bitove, chairman and chief executive officer of XM Canada. "We have successfully increased subscribers this quarter through a number of strategic initiatives including an increase in our retail distribution network, the addition of innovative new products including the XpressRC, XpressR and XpressEZ and our outstanding programming lineup available on 120 channels. With our exclusive NHL partnership airing for the next eight seasons, XM Satellite Radio will provide listeners with up-to-the-second action and exciting coverage of all things NHL until 2015."

"As many of our automotive partners begin factory installing XM radios as a standard feature and as we ramp-up our partnerships with national leading brands including Rogers, TELUS, Air Canada, Avis and Budget, the entire XM Canada team is positive that the upcoming year will bring even more exciting opportunities to grow and delight our subscriber base," said Bitove.

The subscriber numbers reported today are based on unaudited results. Please refer to Management's Discussion & Analysis that will be filed in conjunction with the Company's 2007 annual financial results for greater detail on the subscriber counts.
