TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Global's Entertainment Tonight Canada today revealed details surrounding its unparalleled coverage of the 37thToronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Canada's premiere entertainment news program will bring viewers one-on-one interviews with the most "buzzed about" celebrities from its lush Festival Central lounge at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street in downtown Toronto.
Last year, over 80 celebrities stopped by to chat with Canada's most trusted entertainment news team including Canadians Kiefer Sutherland and Cory Monteith as well as Hollywood heavyweights Rachel Weisz, Alexander Skarsgård, Freida Pinto and Emily Blunt.
"Our luxurious interview lounge is always a "must-attend" on the TIFF promo circuit," said Tamara Simoneau, Sr. Executive Producer, ET Canada. "We're looking forward to hosting Hollywood's finest as we kick off our eighth season with exclusive coverage of the people, places and films that make up the best film festival of the year."
Hosts Cheryl Hickey (@CherylHickeyETC) and Rick Campanelli (@RCampanelliETC) will be based at ET Canada's Festival Central lounge, which is shaping up to be the sweetest spot at TIFF. Attendees will definitely have their hands full: sipping on chilled Moët et Chandon while autographing a Salmanazar (9L bottle) to be auctioned off for the Canadian Film Centre, balancing Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in one hand and a handcrafted, gourmet MoRoCo chocolate in the other. Coveted skin care brand Dermalogica will provide face mapping for celebs on-the-go!
To top it all off, ET Canada is the official media partner of the hottest party venue of the festival, Nikki Beach, and will host its annual birthday fête September 11 at its pop up location atop The Spoke Club.
ET Canada is proud to partner with Shoppers Drug Mart during TIFF as the top retailer celebrates its 50th anniversary. ETC will be revealing ten winners of Shoppers' 50 fabulous prizes from the red carpet during the Festival.
Etcanada.com will be streaming live from the hottest red carpets nightly with the use of multiple cameras. Fans can tweet questions for the stars to @ETCanada and check out etcanada.com/TIFF for live blogs, glamorous photos and web exclusive videos.
For daily Festival coverage, the "can't miss" moments of TIFF and in-depth interviews with Hollywood's brightest stars, viewers can tune into ET Canada starting Thursday, September 6th - 7:30pm ET/PT, following Entertainment Tonight at 7pm ET/PT on Global.
