TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation (TSX: SC) today announced that the Supreme Court of Canada has granted its application for leave to appeal the December 23, 2011 decision of the Court of Appeal of Ontario that restored the prohibition on private label generic drug products in the province of Ontario. As is the Court's practice, no further details were provided.
The Company respects the decision of the Supreme Court of Canada and is pleased with the outcome.
