VANCOUVER, Dec. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Western Wind Energy Corp. -- (Toronto Venture Exchange -- "WND") (OTCQX -- "WNDEF"), is pleased to announce that as of 3:30 AM, December 12, 2011, Windstar I was hot and the transformer was soaking. The substation breakers were tripping and a team is in place to correct the relays. This should all be completed in a couple of days, in which Gamesa will commence the formal commissioning of the first 106 megawatts of wind turbines and begin commercial revenue service.
The remaining 14 megawatts have had their foundations fully completed and deliveries of the 14 MWs of wind turbines has already begun. Erection of the remaining 14 MW is expected within the next week.
