WINNIPEG, Dec. 6, 2011 /CNW/ - For the 17th consecutive year, TD is asking Winnipeggers to support Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 14 children's hospitals across Canada. TD will help make miracles happen this December by matching donations, up to $1 million, to support your community's local Children's Miracle Network member hospital.
To launch this year's initiative, on December 8, 2011, Children's Miracle Network Patient Ambassador, Brittany, and her doctor will be in the TD Canada Trust branch at 3260 Portage Avenue to break a large piggy bank to encourage Winnipeggers to donate on December 9th and throughout the year. Funds raised will support The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
