TORONTO, Dec. 6, 2011 /CNW/ - For the 17th consecutive year, TD is asking eastern Ontarians to support Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for 14 children's hospitals across Canada. TD will help make miracles happen this December by matching donations, up to $1 million, to support your community's local Children's Miracle Network member hospital.
To launch this year's initiative, on December 8, 2011, Micaela, a CHEO Patient Ambassador, will be at TD Canada Trust branch on Strandherd Drive to break a large piggy bank to encourage eastern Ontarians to donate on December 9th and throughout the year. Funds raised will support CHEO Foundation.
