VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 3, 2011) - Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BYV) (FRANKFURT:B4N) (the "Company") announces that Robert Marvin (P.Geo., B.Sc., C.P.G.) has been promoted to Vice President of Exploration for the Company. Mr. Marvin previously held the position of Exploration Manager for Bayfield's Rainy River Gold Project since January 2010.
Bob Marvin brings to Bayfield a strong history in project exploration and development, throughout the Americas. He has been involved in mineral exploration for and evaluation of gold, copper, zinc, and uranium deposits both along the entire Cordillera and in several areas of the Archean shield as an employee and as an independent consultant since 1979. Bob graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology in 1984.
Mr. Marvin will remain as the Company's Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101 and will continue to oversee Bayfield's Rainy River Project.
