/THIS PRESS RELEASE IS NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES./
EDMONTON, Nov. 3, 2011 /CNW/ - Seair Inc. (TSXV: SDS) is pleased to announce substantially all of its portable wastewater treatment fleet, operated by the wholly-owned subsidiary Seair Septic Inc. ("Septic"), has been deployed or reserved by customers for the upcoming winter season. Septic has approximately 80 onsite wastewater treatment plants designed for use at remote oil and gas camps. In addition, Septic has a number of wastewater storage units for use in areas where surface discharge of treated effluent is not permissible or practical.
Septic's unit deployment and financial performance began rebounding early in 2011 and this momentum is expected to continue strongly into the winter 2011/2012 busy season. Seair sales and management have focused on clustering units within targeted geographic and industry segments in order to optimize efficiency of unit support and service. As well, particular emphasis has been placed on securing work where treatment units will be deployed for longer periods of time. These efforts have been rewarded with treatment unit reservations having been received from several oil sands companies in Fort McMurray, Alberta as well as larger conventional camps in the Horn River and Deep Basin/Simonette-Kabob areas among others.
Seair believes its zero-waste ozone-based treatment units are the most advanced solutions available in the portable wastewater treatment industry. The automated systems are odor free, require no consumables, completely process all incoming wastewater to a point where there are no residual solids requiring disposal and are well positioned to meet and exceed increasingly stringent discharge standards.
Sonny Vallieres, Septic's Sales Manager, states "the response to the Seair units has been fantastic. Customers seem to appreciate that our home grown world class technology can not only handle today's standards, but is built with future, tougher, standards in mind."
Seair develops proprietary equipment that diffuses gases, such as oxygen, ozone and carbon dioxide, into liquids. Seair's patented technologies can produce extremely small bubbles which are more efficient than other diffusion technologies. The result is a stable condition, where gases remain in solution for extended periods of time, leading to increased productivity and lower operating costs. This, in turn, facilitates gas-based treatment of complex and challenging wastewater and allows Seair to provide full water reuse and closed loop systems.
Seair applications include frac and produced water treatment, efficient aeration of industrial ponds, mine dewatering, end-to-end sewage treatment for permanent residential communities and remote work camps, golf course irrigation and pond treatment, and oil sands/SAGD water solutions.
