Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery join in the fun at this year's CNE
OAKVILLE, ON, Aug. 18, 2011 /CNW/ - This summer, you won't have to go far for your next Double Double fix while enjoying the sights and sounds of the CNE. This year marks the first time Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery will take part in the festivities at Canada's largest annual community event - the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto from August 19 to September 5.
A Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery Express kiosk, located in the Food Building, will serve up guest favourites like premium coffee, baked goods, refreshing Iced Cappuccinos and Real Fruit Smoothies and now, ice cream. Eight of Cold Stone Creamery's best-selling Signature Creations will bring the delicious, fresh and premium ice cream known around the world to this year's event.
"The CNE is such an iconic Canadian tradition that it's fitting to see both Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery take part in it this year," said Andrea Hughes, Cold Stone Creamery Canada's resident ice cream expert. "The CNE is known for the fun, rides, games and variety of great food and we are thrilled to be represented among all these delectable tastes."
Cold Stone Creamery's premium ice cream is made fresh in every restaurant. To experience Cold Stone, guests simply choose their cone or cup size - Like ItTM, Love ItTM, Gotta Have ItTM - ice cream or sorbet and any number of countless mix-ins such as fruit, nuts, candies and other toppings. A team member mixes the selections with spades on a chilled granite stone, and the Creation is presented to the guest as The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience®. Guests can also enjoy Cold Stone Creamery's take-home treats such as ice cream cookie sandwiches, cupcakes, pies and cakes.
