TORONTO, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - Shoppers Drug Mart today announced it has
entered into a long-term agreement with Clinique to sell their line of
prestige cosmetic products. This groundbreaking partnership will see Clinique
being available in selected Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty BOUTIQUE(TM) locations
across Canada.

Shoppers Drug Mart is the first major chain drug store in North America to
partner with this prestige brand of Estee Lauder's," said Glenn Murphy,

Shoppers Drug Mart's Beauty BOUTIQUE(TM) strategy began in 2003 and has
grown significantly to the point where there will be nearly 100 Beauty
BOUTIQUEs by year end with a further 40 to 50 planned to open in 2007. This
partnership will give Clinique access to a growing consumer segment that is
currently not available to Clinique through the traditional prestige cosmetic
retailers in Canada. Shoppers Drug Mart will be able to not only provide its
customers with the products they want, but this partnership will also serve as
a strong platform from which to continue building its prestige cosmetic market
share in Canada.
Clinique is one of the brands owned and operated by Estee Lauder Co. Inc.
When available in these selected stores across the country, Clinique will be
joining the other Estee Lauder prestige brands currently available at Shoppers
Drug Mart that include Sean John, DKNY and Tommy Hilfiger fragrances.
