Football-shaped donuts made fresh for fans on home game days
OAKVILLE, ON, July 7, 2011 /CNW/ - Canadian football is back and this season BC Lions fans can start a new tradition on home game days by picking up the BC Lions Supreme donut from participating Tim Hortons restaurants in Vancouver and surrounding area.
The BC Lions Supreme is a football-shaped, chocolate-dipped donut supreme that sports an edible team logo, one of eight designs from the Canadian Football League. It's filled with cream or jelly and topped with white fondant in the form of football laces.
"We're thrilled to offer CFL fans another way to show team support and enjoy Tim Hortons at the same time," said David McMullen, Vice President, Regional Marketing and National Promotions for Tim Hortons. "It's a fun way to cheer on the BC Lions and hopefully celebrate a win."
