REGINA, May 19 /CNW Telbec/ - CGI Group Inc., (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and business process services, has been selected by Evraz Inc. NA, one of the most diversified steel manufacturers in North America, to provide IT services support to its North American operations through 2016.
CGI has had a long-standing relationship with the Canadian operations of Evraz dating back to 1999 when CGI first started providing managed services to the company.
Under this agreement, awarded through a competitive process, CGI will continue to provide call center IT support services to Evraz's employees across Canada on a 24/7/365 basis, and will see that service extended to the Portland, Oregon and Claymont, Delaware locations this year. CGI will also continue providing the Canadian group with service desk, managed IT support services including Mainframe Operations and Support, Server Management, technical and database support, security administration and hardware and software management.
