Al Duerr is currently the CEO of Al Duerr and Associates, a company that specializes in technology, training and recruitment in China. Mr. Duerr is also a partner in an Alberta-based First Nations partnership focusing on energy and infrastructure development on First Nations Reserve and traditional lands. Previously, Mr. Duerr served as CEO of the China and International Projects Group of a European-based, international finance company. Mr. Duerr also served in the public sector as Mayor of Calgary, Alberta for 12 years from 1989 to 2001, leading Calgary from a post-Olympic recession to the fastest growing city in the country. Mr. Duerr currently resides in Calgary with his family. Joanne Lemke is a communications professional with 23 years of experience in the agriculture and food industry. Ms. Lemke established a communications consulting company in 2003 and has implemented province-wide communications and marketing initiatives over the past several years. She also participated in industry and government trade missions to the United States and Asia. She recently chaired a national global marketing committee for the Canadian beef industry to advise on programs and funding for the next 10 years. From 1983 to 2002, Ms. Lemke managed public affairs and promotion at the Alberta Cattle Commission (now Alberta Beef Producers). Ms. Lemke currently resides in Airdrie, Alberta.
