Cold Stone Creamery introduces first Tim Hortons-inspired flavour
OAKVILLE, ON, March 30 /CNW/ - Apple Fritter is now available a la mode! Canadians can now enjoy one of Tim Hortons' founding donuts, the Apple Fritter, as an ice cream flavour.
Apple Fritter ice cream was created through the unique relationship between Tim Hortons and Cold Stone Creamery. The new flavour is available at close to 100 Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada where Cold Stone Creamery's ultimate ice cream is sold. (For the nearest location, go to: timhortons.com/coldstone).
The Apple Fritter flavour's mouthwatering blend of sweet cream ice cream, mixed with chunks of real apples and cinnamon, is the first Tim Hortons-inspired ice cream flavor created by Cold Stone Creamery.
"We're bringing together two things we know Canadians love: ice cream and Apple Fritters," said Andrea Hughes, Cold Stone Creamery Canada's resident ice-cream expert. "Many of our guests choose Apple Fritter donuts and have them mixed into the ice cream when building their own custom Cold Stone Creamery creations. Introducing an all-new ice cream flavour dedicated to the beloved treat was a delicious and natural fit."
Since the first Tim Hortons opened its doors back in 1964, Apple Fritters have been a Canadian coffee-time staple. Our nation loves apple fritters. In fact, of the dozens of different donuts available at Tim Hortons over the past 47 years, Apple Fritters have consistently ranked as the most popular year after year.
Cold Stone Creamery's premium ice cream is made fresh in every restaurant. To experience Cold Stone, guests simply choose their cone or cup size - Like ItTM, Love ItTM, Gotta Have ItTM - ice cream or sorbet and any number of countless mix-ins such as fruit, nuts, candies and other toppings. A crew member mixes the selections with spades on a chilled granite stone, and the Creation is presented to the guest as The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience®.
