Viridis Energy Inc. Announces Board and Management Changes
Vancouver, BC - February 16th 2011- Viridis Energy Inc. (OOTC:VRDSF) (TSXV:VRD) (the "Company") announced today that John Campbell has accepted the position of Interim Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company. As a director, John Campbell has taken an increasingly active role in the business of the Company. Accordingly, the Company's Board of Directors has requested that he assume the position of Interim Chairman to advise the Company on international joint venture opportunities and activities in the capital markets.
Robert Gardner Q.C., the Company's immediate past Chairman, will continue to play an active role as a director and a key member of the Company's Executive Committee which has been mandated by the Board to establish the direction of the Company. As immediate past Chairman Mr. Gardner spearheaded the Company through its successful acquisition of Cypress Pacific Marketing and Okanagan Pellet Company and was instrumental in the Company establishing a presence as an alternative energy company.
The Company also announces the appointment of Michele Rebiere as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Rebiere has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Ms. Rebiere studied finance at the Wharton School of Business. She has over 20 years experience in financial services, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. As such Ms. Rebiere is well positioned to assume the portfolio of Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Rebiere replaces Isaac Moss, the Company's previous Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Moss will continue to serve as a director and Corporate Secretary and will join Robert Gardner, John Campbell and Chris Robertson as an active member of the Company's Executive Committee.
