VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jan. 30, 2011 (Marketwire) --
Teck Resources Limited ("Teck") (TSX: TCK.A and TCK.B, NYSE: TCK) announced today that the United Steelworkers Local 9346 has commenced strike action at its Elkview Operation in southeast British Columbia. The union had served strike notice on January 27. The previous labour agreement at the mine expired on October 31, 2010.
