CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 30, 2006) - On June 11, 2004 Orca Petroleum Inc. ("Orca") (TSX VENTURE:OPI) issued a press release announcing the termination of consultancy agreements with BoRoe Consulting Ltd. and Pangman Resource International Limited. Pursuant to those agreements, Mr. Gerald Roe served as Orca's President, and Mr. Donald Copeland served as its Executive Vice-President.
As a result of the press release and the termination of the agreements, Messrs. Roe and Copeland and their companies commenced legal action against Orca and Mr. John Brogan, Chairman of Orca's board of directors. Orca filed a counterclaim against the plaintiffs.
The parties are pleased to announce that Messrs. Roe and Copeland and their companies have agreed to accept a negotiated settlement of their claims and, accordingly, all disputes between the parties have now been resolved to their mutual satisfaction. The parties have agreed to discontinue all litigation.
