Operations Update

Strike Petroleum Ltd. ("Strike") (TSXV/SPP) wishes to advise its
shareholders that we have a drilling rig under contract to Strike and working
the fifth well in our latest drilling program. To date the first 4 wells   
(3.5 net) have been cased and show hydrocarbon potential. Production testing
is in progress on two wells however rates and tie-in schedules are not
available at this time. A third well will be tested to our compressor facility
starting March 21, 2006 and continue production after pressure build-up tests.
Strike expects to continue our drilling program until spring break-up.

Strike has filed with Canadian securities regulatory authorities its
unaudited financial statements for the 1st Quarter ended December 31, 2005,
and the accompanying Management's Discussion and Analysis. These filings are
