CHICOUTIMI, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 15, 2006) - The management of d'Arianne Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DAR) is very pleased to announce an intersection grading 11,74 g/t Au over one metre in drill hole OPI06-02. This first intersection was encountered at 45 metres vertical depth in the Contact mineralized zone and confirms the in-depth continuity of this gold zone located on the Opinaca property, south of the Opinaca reservoir, James Bay.

LOCATION : http://www.arianne-inc.com/fichiers/opinaca_darianne.pdf

The total gold section that is 3.6 metres wide, returned an average grade of 4,02 g/t Au. Management considers this result very encouraging given that it's the very first drill hole from the Contact zone.

"The Contact zone is the first gold showing to be drill tested on the Opinaca property and the initial results tend to show a gold continuity in depth. This is very exciting and encouraging. However, we are just starting and the initial 3,000-metre phase of drilling will help us outline the Contact zone. Additional drilling will be required to test the Renard and Chino zones as well as all the geophysical anomalies previously identified on the Opinaca property. Given the extensive exploration works underway now and in the coming months, we are building a semi-permanent camp that will meet our needs for now and the future. " stated the CEO of the company, Mr. Bernard Lapointe.

Drill holes OPI06-03 and OPI06-04 located 50 metres East and West of drill hole OPI06-02 also intersected the gold zone at vertical depth up to 60 metres. The grades confirm the presence of gold in the Contact zone and shows a lateral and in depth extension of the mineralization.

Contact Zone

The works done during the summer and fall of 2005 confirmed the presence of a 50 metre by 300 metre gold corridor. During the initial sampling program in July 2005, ten chosen samples from the Contact zone returned more than 1 g/t Au, with two samples grading 85.7 g/t Au and 567 g/t Au (See Sept 27, 2005 press release).

During last fall's program, 60 channel samples extracted from the Contact zone (See October 27, 2005 press release) confirmed the potential of this important gold structure. From the 60 samples recovered, 7 values were higher than 10 g/t Au with two grading 38,13 g/t Au and 105,81 g/t Au and 18 samples returned grades higher than 5 g/t Au. 15 channel samples from this same zone returned more than 1 g/t Au. All of these results originating from a group of quartz veins within a mineralized corridor 30 meters wide, confirm an important gold presence in this geological context.

Chino Zone

The Chino zone is located 1.4 km East of the Contact zone. Previous exploration completed in the nineties showed interesting potential for gold in this area of the Opinaca property. On this zone, four gold-bearing veins were identified and partially channeled.

Channel sample results showed grades up to 7.94 g/t Au on 4 meters including 24.69 g/t Au on 1 meter, 4.9 g/t Au on 3 meters, 5.81 g/t Au on 9 meters, 5.5 g/t Au on 2.3 meters, 4,86 g/t Au on 3 meters as well as 10.66 g/t Au on 1.4 meters while some chosen samples returned values of 6.75 g/t Au and 8.22 g/t Au (GM55492 et GM56347). These showings reveal interesting gold potential.

Renard Zone

Located more than 2.5 km south west of the Contact zone, the Renard gold zone also holds interesting results. Chosen samples returned assays up to 6.38 g/t Au (GM56347). This third favorable gold zone will also be worked on in the summer to improve the understanding of the geological context.

The drilling campaign is done under the supervision of Mr. Bernard Lapointe Ph.D., NI 43-101 Qualified Person, and assays will be performed at Laboratoire Expert Inc., of Rouyn-Noranda.
