KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 22, 2005) - Cassidy Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CDY) is pleased to announce results from ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100% owned Kouroussa Project, located in Guinea, West Africa. Twenty-nine reverse circulation (RC) drillholes have tested the Sanu Folo Zone located between the Sanu Filanan and JJ Zones. Highlights from the current drill program include 3.44 g/t Au over 9.0 metres in KRC724, 2.38 g/t Au over 12.0 metres in KRC727, 25.43 g/t Au over 2.0 metres in KRC738, and 5.01 g/t Au over 8.0 metres in KRC740 (Table 1).
Sanu Folo Zone
Twenty-nine drill holes totalling 2,418 metres were recently completed on the east-trending Sanu Folo Zone over a strike length of 410 metres. The steeply dipping zone remains open to the west and has been tested to within 80 metres of the JJ Zone to the east. Mineralization consists of quartz veining, quartz stockworks and silicification mainly hosted in saprolitized mafic rocks, extending into unweathered silicified gabbros at depth. Drilling focused on near-surface mineralization, testing the zone to a depth of approximately 50 metres and along sections spaced at 80 metres. Updated location maps will be posted on www.cassidygold.com shortly.

Based on these results, a program of infill drilling along sections spaced at 40 metres is envisioned to bring Sanu Folo into an inferred resource. Current inferred resources at Sanu Filanan-JJ-Sanu Folo total 433,000 ounces of gold in 4.93 Mt grading 2.7 g/t gold.
Western Lode
The Western Lode lies 150-200 metres west of the Sanu Filanan Zone. Eight RC holes, totalling 932 metres, intersected low-grade mineralization in quartz veining and silicification hosted mainly in sedimentary rocks. The mineralized zone appears to trend to the northwest, parallel to a contact between calcareous sedimentary rocks and gabbroic rocks. Highlights include 3.51 g/t Au over 5.0 metres in KRC718. Follow-up drilling is planned.

Other News
Fugro Airborne Surveys has completed a helicopter-borne Midas(TM) magnetics and radiometrics survey over the Kouroussa and Siguiri Properties. Data will be processed and interpreted by RSG Global as part of a regional targeting study.
Sampling and Assay Procedures
RC samples were collected from the cyclone and split or pipe sampled to 1 kilogram size. All samples were sent to the SGS analytical laboratory in Siguiri, Guinea for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. Samples assaying greater than 5 g/t gold are reassayed using a metallics screen technique. Repeat assays are made on every 25th sample, and duplicates and blanks are submitted, one each in every 20 samples. Quality control/quality assurance is closely monitored by RSG Global personnel.
Personnel
The exploration team in Guinea is headed by Project Manager Nick Hewson of RSG Global. Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng, VP Exploration for Cassidy Gold Corp., is the Qualified Person for this release.
