DUMONT NICKEL INC. (DNI : TSX-Ven) TORONTO, Dec. 12 /CNW/ - DUMONT NICKEL INC. (DNI:TSX-Ven) is pleased to announce that it has resumed drilling at the Kiewit Project. Drilling will continue through January. The drilling will begin with five reverse circulation holes (4,000ft-5,000ft), of a twelve hole program, to test strike extensions of the Kiewit Gold Zone and to also start drill testing of the porphyry target discovered by Dumont earlier in the year (see press September 28, 2005). Holes over the porphyry target are initially being drilled partly for geological reasons to help better target subsequent drilling over this 1 mile by 1 mile anomaly. Results from surface verification sampling completed over, and around, the porphyry target, have all been received. This work returned anomalous gold and copper from 15% of the 200 outcrop samples collected, reporting gold grades ranging upward to 5g/t and up to 1.2% copper from localities with considerable faulting, fracturing and silica injection. An additional 450 soil samples collected across the area also reported anomalous metals from certain locations which also overly faulting. These anomalous localities likely represent leakage from buried mineralization. DUMONT is a mineral exploration company with operations in Ontario, Utah and Nevada.
