KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 21, 2005) - Cassidy Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CDY) is pleased to announce results of ongoing reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100% owned Kouroussa Property in Guinea, West Africa. Cassidy has drilled a number of fences of reconnaissance holes northeast of JJ to the Koekoe East area, across the newly identified KD-1 Zone.
Four fences of RC holes are beginning to define the KD-1 Zone over a strike length of 350 metres. KRC222 intersected 10.35 g/t Au over 13.0 metres at the bottom of the hole, 125 metres along strike from and southeast of KRC203 (12.99 g/t Au over 8.0m; see April 14th News Release). Approximately 145 metres further southeast, KRC258 intersected 0.99 g/t Au over the top 19.0 metres of the hole, up dip of mineralization encountered in KD046. KRC265, another 100 metres southeast, intersected a broad mineralized zone in saprolite assaying 0.97 g/t Au over 33.0 metres, including 2.44 g/t Au over 7.0 metres.
The KD-1 Zone, located approximately 200-225 metres northeast of the JJ Zone, is a northwest-trending mineralized zone that includes KD001 (7.0 g/t Au over 2.4m and 3.67 g/t Au over 2.7m), KD043 (1.18 g/t Au over 4.4m), KD044 (2.33 g/t Au over 5.5m), and KD046 (7.0 g/t over 3.0m).

The RC drill has completed two fences across the Sodyanfe Zone and is now drilling north across the projected trends of the Sanu Filanan, JJ, and KD-1 Zones. Follow-up drilling (both diamond and RC) is planned for new targets discovered in the current phase of reconnaissance drilling. As of April 17th, 18,082 metres of RC drilling had been completed in 433 holes in the Sanu Filanan - Koekoe East and Sodyanfe areas.
Sampling and Assay Procedures
RC samples were collected from the cyclone and split or pipe sampled. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest in Bamako, Mali for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 g/t Au and some samples assaying over 4 g/t Au. Several high values were checked by taking a second split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS and gravimetric finishes.
