Jazz Air LP adds regional jet to charter fleet

The CRJ-200 is a 50-seat jet manufactured in Canada by Bombardier and has a cruising speed of 484 mph (780 km/hr). The range of the aircraft is 1,305 miles and it has a cruise altitude of 35,000 feet. The aircraft will be Calgary-based and is now available for charter work. Jazz operates charters throughout North America for corporate groups, sports teams, entertainers and various other customers who wish to travel via private charter.

"The CRJ-200 jet is a perfect complement to our charter fleet," said Shelley Wilson, Jazz's Manager, Charter Marketing and Sales. "The speed and range of this aircraft provides even more options for our customers to travel where they want and when they want. Our private charter services are dedicated to providing transportation that meets the demands of our busy clientele."

Jazz is the second largest airline in Canada based on fleet size and the only airline serving all ten provinces and three territories. Jazz operates more flights and flies to more Canadian destinations than any other Canadian carrier.

About Jazz Air LP

Jazz Air LP ("Jazz Air") is indirectly wholly owned by the Jazz Air Income Fund (the "Fund"), and has a strong history in Canadian aviation with its roots going back to the 1930s. Since the Fund became publicly traded in February 2006, Jazz Air has generated some of the strongest operational and financial results in the North American aviation industry. Under a capacity purchase agreement with Air Canada, Jazz Air provides service to and from lower-density markets as well as higher-density markets at off-peak times throughout Canada and to and from certain destinations in the United States. Jazz Air currently operates scheduled passenger service on behalf of Air Canada with approximately 800 departures per weekday to over 80 destinations in Canada and in the United States with a fleet of Canadian-made Bombardier aircraft.

Beginning in November 2010, Jazz Air will operate B757-200 aircraft on behalf of Thomas Cook to various sun destinations from Canada for the winter seasons. The service is subject to Jazz Air obtaining the required regulatory approvals and the execution of definitive leasing and maintenance agreements.
