Vantex Acquires Gold Property in the Urban-Barry Greenstone Belt

LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC, Mar. 18, 2010 (Marketwire) -- The management of Vantex Resources Ltd (TSX VENTURE:VAX) is pleased to announce that it has applied to acquire by map designation a 100% interest in 18 cells located in the western portion the Urban-Barry greenstone belt where Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation recently announced a gold discovery. Registration of the cell titles is pending with Quebec's Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife.

The Urban-Barry area is the site of renewed interest following the release of spectacular drill results by Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation who reported 19.61 g/t Au (cut 3.51 g/t) Au over 33 m (Eagle Hill release of March 10, 2010). Noront Resources Ltd. previously reported intersections of 800.1 to 1,792.9 g/t Au over 4.8 m (Noront release of December 1st 2006) and of 27.3 g/t Au over 14.4 meters (Noront release of June 8 2006).

The Urban-Barry greenstone belt also hosts a number of gold deposits which are the Nubar deposit (Oasis) to the southwest which contains resources of 564,000 t at 6.2 g/t Au, the Lac Rouleau deposit (Beaufield) to the northeast which contains resources of 544,000 t at 7.0 g/t Au and the Barry deposit (Metanor) which contains 450,000 t at 4.68 g/t Au.

The ground was strategically selected as a high favourability area prospective for orogenic gold as determined by the Lamothe and Harris 2006 assessment of the potential for orogeneic gold deposits in the Abitibi region.
