KAMLOOPS, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 27, 2005) - Cassidy Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:CDY) is pleased to announce results of reverse circulation (RC) drilling on its 100% owned Kouroussa Property in Guinea, West Africa. Results have been received from 5 resource definition holes on the JJ Zone and a series of RC holes west of the Sanu Filanan Zone, north and south of the JJ Zone, and north of the KD-1 Zone. An updated resource statement, to be prepared by consultants RSG Global of Perth, Australia, is expected by the end of August.

In the JJ Zone, KRC664 returned 7.36 g/t Au over 22.0 metres, including a 5.0 metre section grading 25.89 g/t Au from a depth of 64.0 metres to 69.0 metres. KRC665 returned 7.20 g/t Au over 14.0m, including a 4.0 metre section grading 19.13 g/t from a depth of 58.0 metres to 62.0 metres. Also in KRC665, saprolite-hosted mineralization in the hangingwall of the JJ structure returned 1.35 g/t Au over 26.0 metres.

JJ Zone

In addition to 5 resource holes completed on the south and central portions of the JJ Zone, two short fences of "kit-bit" holes were drilled stepping 100 metres north and south along the projected strike of the JJ structure. JJ is a mineralized shear zone striking at 330 degrees and dipping at -60 degrees to the southwest, located 400 metres northeast of the Sanu Filanan Zone where 315,000 ounces of gold have been inferred (see Cassidy Gold Corp. News Release, March 16, 2005).

As noted above, KRC664 and KRC665 intersected high-grade intervals within a broad mineralized zone. Further south, KRC666 and KRC667 failed to intersect significant mineralization although neither was completed to its planned depth. KRC 668 was also stopped short of target depth. Resource drilling has been completed along 300 metres of the projected 900 metre strike length, to an average depth of 75 metres. Drilling has been temporarily suspended and will resume following the rainy season.

A southern fence of holes, KRC621 to KRC632, stepped 100 metres southeast along strike from previous drilling (KD-147 and KD-148). Mineralization intersected in KRC624 demonstrates that the JJ Zone remains open to the southeast. The northern fence of holes, KRC633 to KRC638, located 100 metres northwest along strike from previous drilling, intersected similar saprolite-hosted mineralization in 3 holes (see Table 1).

KD-1 Zone

One short fence of "kit-bit" holes was drilled stepping 100 metres northwest of KRC203 (12.99 g/t Au over 8.0m) on the KD-1 Zone. Broad zones of low-grade saprolite-hosted mineralization are apparent in KRC645, including 0.76 g/t Au over 16.0m and 0.65 g/t Au over 16.0m, on strike with the main KD-1 mineralized trend.

At KD-1, drilling to date indicates that there are at least 5 subparallel mineralized zones over a strike length greater than 500 metres. Mineralized structures are parallel to the JJ and Sanu Filanan Zones, 200 metres and 600 metres to the west, respectively. An infill drill program is planned for KD-1 in conjunction with resource drilling at JJ.

West Sanu Filanan

One 600-metre long fence of "kit-bit" holes (KRC599 to KRC620) tested a strong soil geochemical anomaly west of the Sanu Filanan Zone, 200 metres south of a mineralized zone identified in KRC187 (4.09 g/t Au over 8.0m). A similar zone was intersected in KRC599, returning 0.89 g/t Au over 4.0m. Similar low-grade mineralization is found further west in KRC609, 610, 611, and 612. Deeper follow-up drilling of this zone is a priority.

The fence extended over the Sanu Filanan Zone, intersecting 3 separate subzones in KRC618, 619, and 620. The mineralized interval in KRC618, assaying 0.92 g/t Au over 6.0m, is located 50 metres west of the main Sanu Filanan Zone. Intersections in KRC619, 1.19 g/t Au over 6.0m and 0.95 g/t Au over 8.0m, and KRC620, 1.13 g/t Au over 7.0m and 0.74 g/t Au over 4.0m, highlight the broad zone of low-grade, saprolite-hosted mineralization above the main Sanu Filanan deposit.
