TORONTO, Jan. 16 /CNW/ - Northern Financial Corporation ("Northern") (TSX: NFC) announced its acquisition today of 220,000 common shares of African Aura Resources Limited ("African Aura") (TSX-V: AAZ) representing approximately 0.33% of the total issued common shares of African Aura. The African Aura shares were acquired on the TSX Venture Exchange for investment purposes at an average price of $0.105 per share. Combined with the African Aura common shares previously owned, Northern now owns a total of 6,796,100 common shares, representing approximately 10.09% of the total issued common shares of African Aura.
Northern believes the common shares of African Aura are undervalued and wishes to assist in the enhancement of shareholder value.
