TORONTO, ONTARIO and DENVER, COLORADO--(Marketwire - Oct. 9, 2008) - Route1 Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ROI) and Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE:Q) today announced the delivery of an additional 1438 Route1 MobiKEYs and TruOFFICE subscription-based services to the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
This follows the announcement on October 1, 2008 of DHS' initial order of Route1's DEFIMNET plus 500 MobiKEYs, along with TruOFFICE subscriptions. DHS will deploy these additional 1438 MobiKEYs to their civilian agency workers who will be able to securely access their digital resources and sensitive data from anywhere, and at any time. The DEFIMNET platform provides DHS with a robust security infrastructure that ensures regulatory compliance, network protection, data leakage prevention, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations. Route1's TruOFFICE subscription-based service also addresses the federal agency's requirement to accommodate tele-workers while protecting DHS' digital resources from outside of the government's network.
"DHS' rapid deployment of these additional 1438 MobiKEYs demonstrates the strong traction that Route1's products and services are having within DHS, and which we believe will continue to grow exponentially", said Andrew White, President and Chief Executive Officer of Route1 Inc.
