CALGARY, June 8 /CNW/ - (TSX:FTS) - Today, FortisAlberta and the City of Airdrie signed a 10-year Electric Distribution Franchise Agreement. This agreement grants FortisAlberta the exclusive right to own, operate and maintain the electric distribution service within Airdrie's rights-of-way as outlined in Section 45 of the Municipal Government Act. As a standard part of a franchise agreement, FortisAlberta will provide the City of Airdrie with an annual report on service levels such as customer satisfaction, responses to notification of outages and hazards, call centre response times, meter reading frequency and accuracy, customer complaints and employee safety.
