MONTREAL, July 29, 2008 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Groupe Qualitas, has acquired Laboratoire Sol et Beton L.S.B., a firm specialized in material and geotechnical engineering, based in Quebec City since 1973.
With some 50 employees, Laboratoire Sol et Beton L.S.B. has just joined the ranks of SNC-Lavalin's Materials and Geotechnical Engineering Division, which now employs over 600 people in Quebec.
This acquisition enables SNC-Lavalin, already a major player in engineering in the Quebec City region, to expand the range of services it provides to its clients.
