ANCASTER, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 24, 2008) - Cleanfield Alternative Energy Inc. ("Cleanfield") (TSX VENTURE:AIR) announces that it is installing its V3.5 Vertical Axis Wind Turbine on the University of Regina main campus. Cleanfield Energy, in collaboration with its Saskatchewan dealer, Shamrock Energy Systems Ltd., has entered into a sales contract with the University of Regina.
The University of Regina in conjunction with the United Nation's Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE - Saskatchewan) is undertaking a long term educational and research initiative to address sustainable development. The addition of the first Cleanfield turbine will contribute to this initiative and to Saskatchewan's role as an educational and industry leader in bringing alternative energy solutions and education for sustainable development to the province and to the rest of the world.
Dr. Malcolm Wilson, Director of the Office of Energy and Environment at the University of Regina said:
